Eighteen boats joined in the season’s opening muster to Largs YH. Many had a spirited sail north in a brisk easterly breeze which blew away the winter cobwebs! This year the Racing Committee introduced a fast cruising award for those who don’t fancy the stress of a formal Trophy Race. Five boats entered the  Fast Cruise race and the eventual winner was Ian Harris in Sassy – congratulations Ian.

Some 40 members attended the dinner in Largs Sailing Club with some who had been unable to sail travelling by ‘land cruisers’. There may have been a few sore heads for the return leg to Troon on Sunday.
