The April/May combined month Wackies have now finished. We have seen twelve different boats racing on Wednesday nights with a best turn-out of nine in one night equaling last year’s record. We will break back into double figures soon!
The final night’s racing of month was undertaken by four boats in blustery and wet conditions, thanks to Doug for being OOD and to all for participating including Rainbow Rider and Verlanda who were also daft enough to be out keeping the racers company!
Green Kestrel won on the night with Penn Player making her first outing of the season in fourth. The monthly results had been tied between Hydra and Hunter’s Moon before the last race and indeed they finished only 14 seconds apart on the night with Hydra finishing 2nd just ahead of Hunter’s Moon to take the Monthly Medal.

The burgers were well received in the clubhouse by some soggy crews, thanks to Jane for supporting me in the bbq duties.
