On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September, the Scottish Air Show returns to Ayrshire with an Air Display Show on both Saturday and Sunday. An exclusion Zone was published as a Notice to Mariners in 2015, and is likely to be in place again this year.
Notice To Mariners – Exclusion Zone
- Saturday 5th September 2015. Enforced 0700 – 1900
- Scottish Air Show Display – Ayr Bay
Please be advised that the following exclusion zone will be in operation to ALL maritime craft visiting Ayr Bay as follows:
Northern Limit: From the beach at South Pier Ayr to 55 28.14N 004 41.10W
West Limit: From the above Northern Limit (55 28.14N 004 41.10W) to 55 26.43N 004 41.34W
Southern Limit: From the above western Limit (55 26.43N 004 41.34W) to the beach at Greenan castle.
All vessels are requested to keep well clear, keep a listening watch on VHF Channel 16 and cooperate fully with Police Scotland’s RIB and a further 2 safety boat RIBs patrolling this area.
HM Coastguard will be broadcasting this message throughout the day.
Please note, Royal Navy vessels with fast landing craft will also operate within this vicinity too.
