Clubhouse

Regular functions are held in the clubhouse, although perhaps unusually for a sailing club, TCC has no bar although we do get an occasional license for certain larger events. Most often our social gatherings are ‘bring your own bottle’. However, for those who require their refreshments on draught it is only a short walk to Scott’s at Troon Yacht Haven or across the road to several excellent local pubs. The major events of TCC’s social calendar, Burns Night and the Annual Dance, are usually held at a nearby hotel.

Teas, coffee and biscuits are available from the clubhouse kitchen on a self-service basis with and honesty jar for payment.

We have recently refurbished our toilet facilities. A new separate shower has been installed which will allow the ladies greater convenience (forgive the pun) as the old unisex shower was located within the ladies toilet.

In the clubhouse you will find a Singer Professional sewing machine capable of sail and canvas repairs. There is also a maritime library within the Committee Room with many old books most of which are classics and out of print. They can be borrowed on an honesty basis. We have recently installed broadband and wi-fi in the clubhouse.
