Dear Members most of the RYA rules relate to how safe are your Club facilities? We as a Club TCC have had all the risk assessments and sanitising in place before the first lockdown and have needed little update.
We must remind everyone they have their part to play keeping TCC open.
Remember F A C T S whilst in TCC property
Face coverings preferably a mask.
Avoid crowds don’t congregate
Clean hands and gloves with soap and water, gel or spray, clean all touched points
Two metres if you have to meet keep your distance and spend no more than 15 minutes together
Self-isolate If you or anyone in your household has corona virus and you have visited the Club, please inform myself or any other council members as soon as you have had a positive test.
People who are symptomatic should self-isolate for 10 days and household members also for 10 days. No one who is self-isolating should attend a sports facility or activity.
The latest revision to RYA Scotland guidance (version 6) on the current restrictions as they affect boating in Local Authority areas in Level 3 and in Level 4 Stay Local and the timetable for easing coronavirus restrictions from 2 April until late June 2021 is now available.
It is important to note that we fully expect this guidance to be revised and probably at short notice.
Although we expect all of mainland Scotland to move to Level 3 on 26 April, further alterations to Levels will be dependent on local suppression of the virus. It is possible for these levels to vary across Local Authorities and some may even return to higher level restrictions.
Currently, mainland Scotland and Skye are in Level 4 Stay at Home whilst some islands are in Level 3.
This document covers the essentials of the current restrictions as they affect boating in Local Authority areas in Level 3 and in Level 4 Stay Local and the timetable for easing coronavirus restrictions from 2nd April until late June 2021 It is important to note that we fully expect this guidance to be revised and probably at short notice.
We remind everyone that any activity should be conservative of risk. The overriding message for Scotland’s boating community is to minimise risk wherever possible and we must all do our bit to stop the spread of the virus.
Exemptions to travel restrictions include travel to boats, out with your Local Authority Area, for essential maintenance in line with guidance for owners of second homes.
Travel to a club/centre/boat within your Local Authority Area for informal exercise (including sailing), maintenance or preseason work is allowed.
